An inpatient center that serves adults, located within East Liverpool City Hospital. Through compassionate care, nurses and physicians provide assistance to help patients regain their confidence and independence by overcoming the problems impacting their mental health.

Overcoming depression and anxiety

Life’s inevitable changes can impact our loved ones in many ways. Whether a recent death, medical diagnosis, lost job or accident triggered a recent change, they need the support of medicine and specifically trained individuals to improve their well-being. At ELCH, we offer the combination of psychiatric and medical care required to help patients overcome conditions that impede routine functions and daily tasks.

Patients are cared for by psychiatrists, social workers, nurses and milieu specialists. An individualized treatment program is created for each patient

Patients will receive care through medication received directly from the hospital pharmacy, they have access to hospitalists for physician centered care, assistance from case management and visitation from our pastoral care volunteers for a friendly conversation and prayer.

24 hour Nursing Supervision

Nurses are on staff 24 hours a day to provide patients with medical and psychological care

Trained professionals prescribe therapies that help provide short term and long term relief to the patient’s specific condition.

Inpatient Care for Long Term Success

Patients stay on the hospital grounds. Their basic needs; such as food, bed, showers are provided during their stay. Inpatient stays may last as long as 30 days.

Family Education and Involvement

Family members can be directly involved in group therapy with the patient. Patients and families learn about the diagnosis and about the course of treatment recommended for overcoming problematic conditions and healing.

Use of Evidence-based Practices

The therapies and medicines used within the program have a proven track record of success based upon their previous uses with similar patient conditions.
