Auxiliary Services
City Hospital Auxiliary
Founded over 65 years ago, the City Hospital Auxiliary supports the hospital in achieving its mission and providing services to patients. It is a group of dedicated volunteers who performed approximately 10,200 hours of service last year. Over the years, the City Hospital Auxiliary has contributed in excess of two million dollars to purchase patient care equipment and support associated programs.
The City Hospital Auxiliary coordinates most volunteer services in the hospital. The City Hospital Auxiliary seeks caring individuals to volunteer in the Gift Shop and Snack Bar, as surgical hostess or front desk volunteers, on the magazine cart, or to work on special projects to raise funds for new equipment and facilities. Each Auxilian is asked to volunteer a minimum of four hours a month in a chosen area of work. Auxilians meet new and interesting people and take satisfaction in helping patients and their families.

For the years 2001 and 2002 we have pledged $130,000.00 to partner with the hospital in the renovation of the Skilled Nursing Facility, Boyce Pavilion.
An annual appreciation luncheon is held in May to thank the volunteers for their dedication and time.
Payment of membership dues entitles one to a 10% discount in the Auxiliary Gift Shop. Dues are either $5 with a 50-hour annual commitment of volunteer time or $10 as an Auxiliary Supporter.
