You are
responsible for all personal items brought into East Liverpool City
Hospital. There are lock boxes in the Nursing Office in which you
may store your money and other valuables. However, we encourage you
to leave these items at home or send them home with family members.
No electrical
equipment may be brought with you, unless they are battery-powdered.
Razors, radios, etc. may not be used if they must be plugged into
an AC outlet.

(The
auxiliary Gift Shop on the first floor stocks many of these items.)
City
Hospital is a smoke-free facility
Employees, medial staff members and visitors are not allowed under
any circumstances to smoke or use tobacco products inside the hospital
or the adjoining Metsch-Harker Building.
Smoking is permitted in designated exterior smoking shelters or at
picnic tables at various locations on the hospital grounds.
Under no circumstances may smoking orders be written for patients
on the Intensive/Cardiac Care Unit, Step-down Unit (Telemetry), Medical-Surgical
Unit, Skilled Nursing Unit, Obstetrics and Pediatrics.
Gift
Shop/Snack Bar
The Auxiliary operates the Gift Shop and Snack Bar, located on the
first floor of the hospital. The Gift Shop stocks cards, toys, candy,
snacks, balloons, books, magazines, newspapers, gift items, and sundries.
The Snack Bar offers hot and cold sandwiches, muffins, bagels, daily
meal specials and a different gourmet coffee and homemade soup each
day.
Hours of operation are from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm, Monday through Friday,
and 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, on Saturday. The Gift Shop and Snack Bar are
closed on Sundays; because of this, visitors may dine in the employee
cafeteria on Sundays.
Proceeds
from the Gift Shop and Snack Bar are donated to the hospital for facility
improvement and new equipment.
Chapel
The Chapel is located in the Fisher Solarium on the first floor of
the West Wing. It is always open. Patients and visitors are invited
to make use of it for prayer, meditation and counseling.

Flowers
Flowers are welcome on any unit with the exception of Intensive/Coronary
Care. Send flowers with the patient's name and room number.
A flower vending machine is located on the first floor near the twin
elevators.
Parking
Outpatient and disability parking are available in front of the hospital.
Visitors and patients may park on-street or in the parking lot directly
across West Fifth Street. Please do not use the Emergency Department
lot behind the hospital for visitor or inpatient parking.

We at East Liverpool City Hospital strive to provide quality medical
care and friendly, caring attention while you are a patient here.
If you have any problems or concerns, please communicate them to the
nurses who are caring for you. If a patient or family member would
like to file a complaint, they may notify the Patient Representative
by contacting the switchboard and requesting to speak to the Patient
Representative. You may also file a complaint directly with the Ohio
Department of Health by calling 1-800-342-0553 or emailing them at
HCComplaints@odh.ohio.gov.
