East Liverpool City Hospital now has the ability to perform 3d image knee
replacements. This new technology gives patients a custom, one-of-a-kind
knee replacement. Dr. Marcy Dickey used advanced imaging technology to
create a 3d map of the patient's knee. Then, 3d printing technology
creates a wax mold that is used to form the metal component of the total
knee. The result is a total knee implant that is exactly the shape and
size of the patient's natural knee.
