Nursing
You can expect the personal touch of family and neighbors. Many of our
nurses have received special training to help manage chronic disease care,
acute care and critical care. Their training and expertise underscore
the importance of quality care that we strive to deliver for everyone
that passes through our doors.
ELCH includes an Intensive Care and Coronary Unit to provide around the
clock care for seriously ill patients.
Discharge Planning
Our staff uses best practices procedures and methods to ensure your hospitalization
results in higher levels of patient satisfaction and fewer hospital readmissions.
We are constantly striving to meet higher standards of care, and we measure
our success based upon patient scores that are captured in surveys known
as HCAHPS (Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems)
and core measures.
Pre-Registration Form
Surgical Services
Our Surgery nurses are involved before, during and after inpatient and
outpatient surgeries. The surgical nurses are specifically trained to
provide patients with great care. They aid the doctors and anesthesiologists
by informing them of vital signs and other pre-operative care information.
During surgery, the nurse and the scrub technician assist the physician
to provide you with the optimal surgical experience.
Intensive Care
The Intensive Care Unit includes specially trained registered nurses (RN)
that are skilled at using lifesaving equipment to help improve the health
of people that are critically ill. These RNs closely monitor the health
of patients to ensure they receive proper care. Some of these nurses have
been specifically trained in intensive cardiac care. ELCH offers these
services as an extension of its inpatient program to meet the needs of
our surrounding community.
Medical Surgery
These high performance nurses frequently monitor patients that no longer
require the close care of the ICU. The Step Down Nurses are trained to
respond to rapid changes in a patient’s vital signs. These providers
may be RNs, LPNs and Patient Attendants.
