Application Requirements
How to Apply
East Liverpool City Hospital’s Family Medicine Residency Program operates under the standard academic calendar year from July through June.
We participate in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP).
- Interested candidates must apply online through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS)
- All complete applications are reviewed on an individual basis
- We do not accept any applicants outside of the “Match”
Candidate Eligibility
- United States citizen, permanent resident, or able to obtain J-1 Visa
- Graduated or on track to graduate from a U.S. or Foreign Medical School within the last five (5) years
- International medical school graduates must provide a valid ECFMG certification and/or hold a full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the U.S.
Application Requirements
An application is considered complete when the following information has been received:
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Dean’s Letter or equivalent from medical school
- Medical School Transcript
- Personal Statement
- Three letters of recommendation (at least one letter from a family medicine physician with whom you have worked)
- Passage of both steps 1 and 2 of USMLE or COMLEX (Candidates who fail more than one step of USMLE/COMLEX testing or fail a given step more than once will not be eligible for consideration)
